Hello

My name is Ryan Henry and I am a graduate from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering focusing in Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Bio-robotics. I have recently graduated (May 2022) and am prepared to start my professional journey to hopefully improve the world we live in.

My Story

I am most passionate about the marriage of electricity, automation, and mechanical hardware presented by the field of robotics. Since an early age I have fancied myself an inventor and innovator. My favorite toys were Legos, Knex, Erector sets, and Magnetix. As I got older, I migrated to playing with more toys that resembled robots such as Furby, any number of walking toy, and RC cars. I enjoyed pulling them apart sometimes to see how they worked. This desire to know how things worked translated into my Scouting career with Troop 597 as well. I often found myself lashing together bridges, gateways, and trebuchets.

Heading off to college, I was able to find my passion applied in a professional setting and was able to truly develop skills that will aid me in my profession. Using these skills I have worked on mobile robotics utilizing 4 wheel, 2 wheel, and 6 wheel differential drives, omni-directional wheel drives, and synchro drives. I also have studied and designed articulated arm robots as well as researched drones and underwater robots. Robots however, were not the only things I have been privileged enough to learn. Machine learning, AI, bioelectrical signals, 3D CAD modelling, coding and even some simulation.
